What a miserable night. I was actually at the game. I have to respect the team, but the fans - obnoxious - I took the high road many times to stay out of fights. There is a difference between being a fan and being a complete jerk!

Of course, there are exceptions like Taylor.

At least I didn't get spit on. That happened when I played for Mizzou football and travel to Lawrence.

Yeah, it's too bad that some people take sports so seriously that they make it miserable for others...sorry about your experience Big Mike and Scorpio. As they say - "in the department store of life, sports is afterall only the toy department". People tend to forget that it supposed to be fun for all. On the other hand, it has become big business for the schools.

It seems how a visitor is treated really depends where they are sitting. If you are in a donor section, its not bad. If you are in the cheap seats then watch out.

I was at the MU/KU football game at Arrowhead and I do have to say I did not see anyone have a problem. I had even brought along 2 friends who were dressed in red and blue.

However, Taylor being the exception - Do you know why most KU coeds really want to be MU fans?

It is so interesting that this rivalry goes back to the civil war. My business is in KS and people in MO won't travel across the state line, even though it's only 5 miles. But people an hour away in Topeka will make the trip.

And vice versa for KS people not going to MO...
