It's a little "out there".........

Tank Girl

never seen it.. one for my list.
one of the best, and saddest movies I have ever seen. Liam Neeson and Ben Kingsley are two of my favorites.. smart, great at conveying emotion, and very easy on the eyes..lol..

Seriously though, it shed light on a historical person that I never would have known existed if it wasn't for Stephen Spielberg. I felt like such a baby watching this movie, I brawled my eyes out... an injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Also own it. The little girl in that red coat.....in all the black and white.....you see her running and then when you see her again.....omg.....it was.....devastating.....And I could hardly watch Fiennes in anything for a long while after that movie...........

My latest favorite movie is Invictus. For those who think it's just another sports movie, you are so wrong. It's a very inspirational and moving movie.

One thing I found fascinating in the movie is the chant the All Blacks (New Zealand rugby team) did before playing the championship game. It's a maori war chant, kind of like getting up before going into battle and intimidating your opponent. The Zulu warriors did basically the same thing in the movie Zulu. This link is not from the movie, but another video taken before New Zealand played Tonga.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension

Videodrome

Anything by Stanley Kubrick

The World's Fastest Indian

Blade Runner

Lots more but that's what was on my minds...
Um.... Unstoppable... Hmmm how to stop a speeding train? Easy... disconnect any of the cars, or if you are on board and in the cab of the locomotive you deploy the emergency brakes which will do the following:
1) throttle back the engines to idle
2) engage the braking system which will not dis-engage until a manual reset is performed

All this happens when you deploy the emergency brakes. If you disconnect a car and the train separates, the air hoses disconnect and the emergency brakes go on.
