A bit off topic, but every time i come to Coed Discussions and see the caption CaNadA incaLL, until i take a closer look, i see "China Doll".

I think Elghund is right, i might need help!
All the bellyaching aside, we in Buffalo should appreciate our good fortune of having some fine local ladies - as well as being within striking distance of Niagara Falls and Rochester. And some of us think that the situation in Canada would get even better with legalization.

"Visitors to Ontario may be eligible to claim a rebate of the 8 per cent provincial sales tax (PST) paid on goods permanently removed from Ontario within 30 days of purchase. Please note that a refund is not available for the PST paid on taxable services."

Any bets on sales tax with legalization!

As for taxing legalized prostitution, it is to be expected.

MMMMM then make it legal in monroe cty. Rochester area will become a hotter spot. I could go back to be a driver for. naaaaaaaaaa, stop it, sorry, Dreaming.
They are not looking to legalize it but to decriminalize certain key provisions including Keeping Common Bawdy House - stating that they are unconstitutional.

The Appeal Judged issued yet another stay to April 29th but it will probably be extended yet again.

Incalls and Outcalls are generally safe in Canada (which is why there is less screening done here) as LE is more interested in human traffiking, underaged girls in brothels/massage parlours. All of the raids this year and most that I have read or heard of over the years have involved this in some way or another and is usually executed in Brothels claiming to be Massage Parlours.

In the GTA, Massage parlours in certain areas are licensed to give full-body nude massages - they generally have no problems, however in the city of Toronto most Massage Parlours are not licensed as Body Rubs but as Holistic Centres therefore run into problems (if they receive complaints, have underaged or unlicensed girls working etc).

This challenge in regards to the laws surrounding prostitution will probably go on for years, as it has only just begun on a Provincial level and will more than likely go to the Supreme Court of Canada before any changes (one way or the other) will happen.
Adrianne, thank you for the helpful insight.

I used to hobby more in Canada than in the U.S. The increased border security has been a deterrent - I'm always concerned that I would be charged with the potentially serious offense of lying to a Customs Officer when asked the direct question, "What was the purpose of your trip?" If total legalization happens, I can say I went to see "Ms X instead of to "the Casino" or "the Sundowner". Originally Posted by jackfengshui

I'd mention that and of course if I was every challenge I'd have the receipt in my pocket. I just didn't tell them everything I did.
I also used to hobby solely in Canada till discovering ASPD and now this board. Always told Customs the purpose was to have something to eat and hit the Casino or Slots. This was true because I always hit the Casino or Slots to exchange currency when rates were far better than they are now.
