2023 Steelers Season Thread

Looking at the strength of the opposing defense and how other QBs including ones who are highly regarded have performed against that defense is the opposite of meaningless.
You'll be popping your bottle. Hopefully it's something good like La Grande Dame. Originally Posted by 1pittsburgh

I really didn’t want the Steelers to draft KP or any other QB from his class. I didn’t think any were that good. Once they drafted Pickett, I thought his ceiling was Kirk Cousins. I would take that now. He has a long way to go. Sam Howe seems to be a steal from that draft class.
Purdy and Pickett both had one TD pass a piece. Points determine wins and losses? Interesting! I never knew that. 200 passing yards is the best that any QB has done against the Browns this year.

Save me a glass when you pop that bottle if it's anything good.

I'm suggesting that he's not as bad as you say. I'm suggesting that people including you aren't seeing the big picture. When he accomplishes that, I will be the one who was proven to be knowledgeable, not you. Your analysis is cursory at best.

So far, Pickett's a dud. I'm hoping he eventually proves me wrong, but all we have so far is a bunch of blame shifting and excuse making.

give him a decent oline and a offensive coordinator not named canada and then see what he can do

a quarterback is only as good as his oline and the system

im not giving up on him yet
Everyone here is pretty much saying the same thing. Canada sucks and right now Kenny is not great. Tomlin put the horse before the cart! If Tomlin doesn’t fire him after the year (or before) you’ll hear chants of “fire Tomlin” next year.

A little off topic, but an interesting piece about the origins of Renegade.

I think I just watched Connelsville play Latrobe.

Kneelers aren't winning, the other teams are just lousy, honest to god, this is the worst pro ball I've ever seen.

Cleveland, two late penalties and the last one TERRIBLE to get a win, and if the moron doesn't taunt, this game ends on another bad penalty call.

I think we are seeing the complete and utter failure of the NFL to produce winning teams across the league, not just Pittsburgh, everyone is fighting to be mediocre.

Ok, nice win on the West Coast. They had a lot of help from the Rams. It’s a win.
