For some, it is all about price points. Here in D&T, price should take a backseat I would think. Guys willing to pay the higher prices are looking for

(1) Discretion - So perhaps having your face plastered all over the world wide web ain't such a good idea for these clients.
(2) Looks - I suspect that when these guys pay this amount, they are hoping to get a model (Playboy style, fashion style, to each his own definition) and maybe less of a girl next door look.
(3) Special activities - Yeh, that may include BBFS, but I am really talking about guys who discreetly want to receive some special activities, something to make them feel like they are special and not just a product of their wallet. Some of the fetishes described in the Other Realm perhaps, who knows. BBFS is probably the least of these activities.
(4) A Connection - They are not looking for a wham-bam, thank you maam session usually. Again, see #3, they may want some rough and tumble activities, but they also want to connect with a lady. Something they have lost with their SO, their family, the little guys at work. Too often we try to use the internet, email, telephone, etc. to forge our relationships. We try to use ECCIE, how often is there a thread about relationships between providers and clients? But the real connection requires a real interaction, not a cyber contact. We have many senses, and to touch, taste, smell, hear and see a wonderful lady fills a void that the world today is missing. Until Bill Gates or Apple learns how to create a scratch and sniff screen, a lick & taste screen, a keyboard that feels like the soft skin of a beautiful woman, a speaker that really transmits a true representation of a lady's voice, her moans, her laugh, until then, we are at best stuck with a high definition 3-D screen representation that falls way short of our needs.

This is where a true HDH makes her mark. ECCIE is/can be one way to begin that sort of client-provider interaction, but perhaps it was not filling the bill for these matches.

Tigercat, I would agree with your comments to some degree or another. Personally, I offer both the courtesan and the escort experiences. The escort experience is the shorter engagements that every lady, no matter what they say or state on their websites, takes to fill in her dance card and balance out her finances. The courtesan experience is the multi-hour engagements (I personally address this with an off the clock approach.) that are the mainstay of our support. There is a big difference and the requirements are different.

Discretion is just as important if you are in for a penny or a pound.

Looks are important regardless of price point also. I wouldn’t qualify myself as a Playboy model type, but I hold my own. A specific look / type is more important at the escort experience level than over all beauty. I tend to think that the shorter, more escort-type the experience tend to be less focused on intangible beauty than the longer engagements.

Intangible beauty such as intellect, humor, life experiences, age appropriate companion (particularly for public appearances), class, manners, education levels, chemistry, etc. are significantly more important at the courtesan level where the focus is on sweet fun as well as entertaining.

Special activities are just as important at either level. Unfortunately for those on a limited budget, some activities take more time or are just plain more expensive for a couple of reasons. Uncovered sex is ludicrous. I wouldn’t consider it one of the special activities that the gentlemen I see crave. They get that from their wives or mistresses. When someone has a special request it typically leans towards the BDSM. If a gentleman has certain tastes the wander towards the BDSM world and likes to be dominated, I feel one hour is insufficient time for those activities. If a gentleman wishes to dominate me, which I thoroughly enjoy, well then that is significantly more special and has its own costs and rewards.
