The design of polls is an art unto itself and political types are pretty good at designing the questions to skew results any which way. Originally Posted by Unique_Carpenter

As the well used example goes:

I can call someone "a worthless fucking piece of garbage" ... and they can get pissed ... or I can call them the same ... and they will laugh!

Even if the substance is the same ... the delivery makes a difference.

The best example were the exit polls in Ohio in the 2004 POTUS elections .... had Kerry ahead .... so he flew on to "Boston" to get ready for the victory celebration .... ALA HillariousNoMore!

Warren vs Trump .... Now who is going to say they VOTED for Trump?

...Liars use statistics?

I'm seeing "People who want President Trump Impeached" numbers in the 52-53% range by various media polling outlets.

However I'm seeing Trump beating various Dim candidates in key battle ground states in various polls.

How? Is CNN/WaPo and other outlets oversampling California when they do a poll? I get it. In order to sell impeachment the Dim media has to set a foundation of believable outrage. The outrage feed back will loop and justify itself.

If things don't realistically pick up for the Dims the effect will be devastating. I don't see how they are getting the whistleblowers name from getting out. Originally Posted by gnadfly

However, in a recent Quinnipiac poll (late August), Trump trails Biden by 16%, Sanders by 14%, and Warren by 12%.

And in the most recent FOX News poll published 3 days ago, Trump trails Biden by 12%, Sanders by 8%, and Warren by 5%, all above the 3% sampling error.

Both Quinnipiac and FOX are highly rated polling companies with well above average success rate. I don't believe either of their polls. I tend to put more faith in the NY Times/Sienna College poll.

As for your question about whether or not impeachment polls are biased -- I doubt it.

Here are the latest numbers from 538. Support for impeachment has dropped significantly. At one point support was 15% higher than not support. Questions have not changed. Attitudes have changed:

48.3% support impeachment
44.8% do not support

Broken down by party:

83.6% of Democrats support impeachment
45.6% of Independents support
11.1% of Republicans support

gnad .... Speedo believes in the one who had Hillaroius ahead .... !!!!

I would have thought he would have refrained from posting in a thread about "polls," but I can see he actually believes AntiTrumpers can't recall his "blue line" in the sand back just a few days before the 2016 election. I was partial to Jr's ear to the ground back in early September of 2016. It was something to the effect about liking what they heard ... HEARD ... on the ground.

According to a POLITICO/Morning Consult survey released on Wednesday, 56 percent of voters expect the president to be reelected next year, including 85 percent of Republicans and 51 percent of independents. By comparison, more than a third of Democrats (35 percent) say the same.

I wonder what the polls say?
