Meet & Greets have to be just that -- just a meet & greet. Nothing ever more than that.

It takes a decent "nucleus" of organizers and participants to start.... something like 2 dozen gents and at least a dozen or more ladies -- all of whom must show up frequently in order to establish some continuity.

Venue doesn't matter much.

Behavior matters very much, regardless of the venue being public, semi-public or semi-private or very private.

If any of y'all want to see how it's been done in San Antonio since 2002, drop me a pm so you can get vouched onto the invite list. We have both a lunch and a happy hour most every month, with the biggie event of the calendar coming up in October -- our annual Hollow Weenie Masquerade Gala!

We have been to the socials in San Antonio and they were a blast, we would definately attend in corpus.

I'm just throwing this idea out there. Please keep in mind that I JUST got the idea, so I haven't even considered all aspects yet. But.....I have a two bedroom home in Flour Bluff. I'm on a corner lot, and the lot next to me is vacant. So that means, I don't have neighbors RIGHT up next to me. So, we wouldn't have to worry about keeping the noise level down in fear of someone calling the law about it. (I used to own a pistol that would jam up and the only way to fix it was to fire off a round. I shot it at the ground in the backyard, then got ready for the cops to show up. I had all my paperwork out showing I legally owned it and wasn't a felon, etc. etc. They NEVER came! No one came! I could have been dead and no one would have known. Lol! Long story short, we wouldn't be bothered here, no matter how wild things may get, which isn't the case at a hotel.) It's VERY VERY SAFE here. I have a large backyard with a double gate that cars can drive through. So, three or four cars can be hidden behind the 9ft. privacy fence, if needed. We can work out the details, as far as any type of cover charge for members, etc., when time gets closer, if anyone thinks this might work out

Ms. Jade, I strongly caution all in the hobby from exposing their personal residence to folks they don't really know, much less those folks "friends and associates."

I would like to attend a Social if you can actually get some chicas/women to attend. The Social that I went to in Laredo 2 years ago/2012 sucked hind tit, it was a sausage fest. There were only 2 chicas/women that actually showed up-Chelsea & her friend from Arkansas whose name I don't recall. Many people & chicas that stated they were going to attend, flaked and didn't show up. The Captain & I wound up going to Nuevo Laredo to the El Centro panocha bars and met up with our buddy Bbond & his girlfriend. Bbond is a Gringo who has lived in Nuevo Laredo the past 5+ years. The Captain & I are both veterans of Nuevo Laredo, it is our old stomping grounds. I have known Bbond probably around 10 years and have mongered with him both in Nuevo Laredo Boystown, Reynosa Boystown & the Nuevo Laredo El Centro panocha bars.
