I agree with P_b, the meat lack the Tropical (Caribbean) spices/flavor. I have been to Florida and a few islands in the Caribbean, and the food there has a lot more flavor. I tend to stop by Pollo Loco for the grilled chicken more than the side dishes. Originally Posted by Daktari

What ya'll need is a Bojangles. I would do so many depraved things for fresh Bojangles. Or even GOOD peruvian chicken.

I miss that Jamaican joint that was on Naco just south of O'Connor.

Pollo asada Los nortenos on rigsbuy has awesome grilled chicken and I'm not a fan of grilled chicken unless I've grilled it myself!

I have been curious about this eatery, but not any more..... HOWEVER- For the Jerk Chicken lovers out there.... I was married to a Bahamian for 14 years, his mother came from Nassau to teach me how to cook everything. I recently started back catering (i had a catering company in Cali for 10 years - i was retired till this year) and have been selling my Jerk Chicken at a couple local pubs and people are going nuts for it. NO lack of flavor at all. If anyone wants more info, just send me a PM.

Angel, if you want very good Peruvian food, including nice lomo saltado, ceviche and pollo a la brasa, check out Rocotos Grill. It's a family-run place on Culebra just inside Loop 1604. It looks like a chain, but is independent, local and excellent.

So what kind of things would you do for the recommendation...?
