Correct, I'm Brazilian. The simple answe is yes. Brazil is a Latin American country. We are not of Spanish origin (although Brazil became an extremely diverse country after it's colonization - one of the most diverse places I've ever had the pleasure of spending time in), but colonized by the Portuguese.
