Thank you for your invaluable input Rodram.
I believe this was a serious disquisition.

Oh, and one other thing mokoa, my sister is Jewish and I'm highly offended by NuttingBuckeye's anti-simetic post and considering the relationship between Muslims and the Jewish people, I can also say it was highly inflammatory.

You have failed miserably in recognizing the race-baiting joke and I am offended by it, so I have logged several complaints with the administrators about that and your bias towards me for giving me an infraction over a joke that wasn't over the line.

Don't bother going to Nuttingbuckeyes post to do damage control , I've already done a screen grab.

I stay away from pretentious and annoying! And those who try too hard to be cool, seen & heard. Not my type of crowd.

I like a NICE yet laid back atmosphere 9as I'm a laid back easy going person). A place where I can tell the wine guy just what type of wine I like and he/she gets it and brings me wine to satisfy my pallette w/o getting a tude because I'm PICKY! I know what I like and don't like.
I like full bodied reds, with a BITE! not too sweet, not too dry. I want to taste it/feel it on my tongue and in the back of my throat. I want to enjoy the wines with a hint of spice/tobacco/berries etc.
You know you have a good wine when you can smell & taste what's in it and it doesn't have to be costly!
I want to see good legs & head on my wine glass, from the wine.

Enjoying wine is like enjoying sex!!

I'm not a huge fan of 20nine. I always found it was more for guys to show off how much cash they could blow on overpriced California wines. Across Basse, there's Max's Wine Dive. Pretty good wine selection, even if the atmosphere tries too hard to be cool. I do like Zinc. If you're going to eat there, get the burger. It's amazing.

The Monterey in Southtown has a small but always intriguing wine selection, and the food ranges from fun and fantastic to pretentious and annoying.

I'd also suggest the bar at Luke on Houston Street, with a thoughtful if not huge wine selection. I didn't like Copa because it had too many supermarket wines. Lots of wines but not very many good ones.

Good luck, WM. Let us know which wine bar you visited and what you thought. It has been several years since I enjoyed your company, but I remember your class and good taste. Originally Posted by DaMan

I agree Zink or Copa is the best around San Antonio.
