Why I got points, thread

I just received 5 points for "unnecessary rudeness." This was for post number 13 in the Why do you post in the sandbox thread. If that's considered unnecessary rudeness, there's no way certain other users should still have accounts. They surpass that threshold of rudeness to other members on a daily basis. The moderation is uneven.

My points have been for taunting & being rude- to specific ppl; But you know you deserve & loved it. My warnings are for pretty much the same thing....and thread derailment. Sometime a thread needs that shit.
There’s no doubt Pittsburgh gets moderated more strict. If you don’t believe me go to the national discussion board. They are absolutely brutal to each other. Lol
Open up general discussion and go to “hobby on a cruise”. That’s far from the only thread.
Not sure why Pgh is moderated differently, but it is.
But for some reason, a certain Pittsburgh sandbox poster in particular gets away with unnecessary rudeness on a daily basis.

On a side note, that phrase cracks me up. Unnecessary rudeness. The eccie version of a helmet to helmet on a defenseless receiver. The poster I'm thinking of is dirty like Burfict.

i for one also like a bit of free flowing discussion as debates go, and they can go in interesting and unexpected directions. the staff is perhaps a bit too rigid on that however in real debating the better you stay on topic the better debater you tend to be.

You got your points because you deserved them, take them like a man instead of whining about it, and some of you know that damn well you did deserve them.

Ever hear the words "Personal Responsibility"?

NO?

Its the root cause of damn near every problem we have as a society.

Grow up and take responsibility for your actions.

here's a little clarification on the staff and rtm's, a certain poster in the political forum now currently on bancation recently posited that the staff only issue infractions if another user rtm's a post. not so. the mods all have areas to review mostly for even coverage so all areas of the site get looked at on a regular basis and if a mod sees a post that is against the rules they issue an infraction. the staff don't act only if a post has been rtm'd. the rtm feature exists to bring something to the attention of the staff as soon as possible for possible action. it's not the sole reason why infractions get issued.

that said, if you feel that a certain poster is being abusive then rtm the post so the staff become aware of it and if they feel it is a violation action will be taken.
An interesting fact is that several of the frequent posters in the pittsburgh sandbox should have been banned long ago if that's the standard for "unnecessary rudeness."

Also, maybe you missed the part where I said that I'd be fine with the points if things were moderated evenly, but they aren't, unless you receive 5 points for this unnecessary rudeness.

Oh, suggesting you take the penalty points for a post you made is rude huh?

We now understand your views on personal responsibility.

You have none, and everyone else is to blame for YOUR actions.

Staff Edit
" if you read that post it's clear you singled out a certain poster"

Please tell, who is the poster he singled out
