Black voters in SC speak - we are broke with Biden, we weren't with Trump

You’re doing a full 20% worse than you should be under Biden, just like everyone else. You doing better than you were doing before, even with nearly a quarter of your buying power disintegrated, is totally meaningless other than as a gauge if how crappy you previously did. South Carolina isn’t the only place black people live. The point is the attitude of a race, not a state. Originally Posted by Jacuzzme

And to save you a future ass beating, black guys don’t react well being referred to as “boy”.

Wow. I grew up with black people all around me in school and work. We're all "boys" to each other. Whoever hit RTM would know that if they weren't so sheltered. That is insane to me that anybody thought I was being racist there. Unreal.

You should test that theory. Try Cuddy’s in Homewood, their food is amazing. Roll in and say “Hey boy, gimme a half rack dry rub” and see if you’ve got enough teeth left to eat them.
It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Most earthlings understand this. I can see that the way you say it, however, could be construed that way. Thankfully that's not my style.

Racist terms - BOY

In most situations, the word "boy" is not a problem. Used to describe a Black man, however, the word is troublesome. That's because historically, White people routinely described Black men as boys to suggest they weren't on equal footing with them. Both during and after enslavement, Black people weren't viewed as full-fledged people but as mentally, physically, and spiritually inferior beings to White people. Calling Black men "boys" was one way to express the racist ideologies of yesteryear.

And guess what? I still don't see it as a racist term. That one's on you guys. But at least now I know who does think it's racist, so I'll keep it in mind for future threads. Thanks.
