Question please, are things back to normal in Dallas after covid?

Yeah, but getting back to the topic at hand, for all the good I have gotten out of no longer fighting the commute (I think my BP and sleep patterns are much improved), the freedom of movement I enjoyed during my hobby heyday is pretty much gone.

At this stage of my life, though, I’ll take the tradeoff. Originally Posted by TinMan

when the s.o. worked, i could cut out during the day w/out too many problems.
when i visited the office, i could have lunch or early afternoon appts w/out too many problems.
when i went on biztrips, i could have evening appts w/out problems.

now that i'm no longer working, it's more difficult to come up w/ excuses to get out of the house for 2+ hrs. (i have the cash, just not as much time)
fortunately, s.o. has several meetings that occupy her 3-5hrs several times a month. that's when i now visit providers.

i just updated my lil black book of appts - only 10 this year. which is fine by me. i had my fill of delites from 2001-2020, so fewer appts = less funds going out of my retirement accts.

nashville, to your question "are things back to normal in Dallas after covid"

depends on what your defn of normal is.
the great amps are mostly all gone.
there are lots of providers (on eccie, oh2, tryst, p411, rubrankings, etc), but the service amount and quality has gone down and the fees have gone up (last time i looked, there were 30-50 providers on p411 in dallas w/ fees <= 250/hr; there used to 100+).

so, if you wanna engage in this hobby, you gotta put in the time to find someone to your liking. it's possible but just more work. (oh, how i miss private connections - that agency run by Gina!!)
