I upgraded my hi fi during the pandemic, and added a turntable for the first time since I retired my last one sometime in the early 90s. I had kept my old record collection and hauled it around from house to house all those intervening years, and it finally paid off since they were in great shape when I started listening again. I’ve started adding to that collection and found I really missed what it meant to listen to an album from beginning to end and not just have it as background noise while I did other things. Siiick man. I just got into audiophile stuff. Got Sennheiser headphones, Schitt DAC, EQ, and a tube Amp. I bought some WW2 vacuum tube from Western Electric. I've been missing so much detail. There's one song (Rammstein) where I'm pretty sure I can hear someone talking outside the recording booth. It's wild.
