If you can put one together I will be happy to attend.

I understand why he would not do it in the bigger metro areas (Dallas and Houston) because there is just too much bitterness of online personas that a fight would probably break out.

you never/ever mention locations of past meet & greets,
never/ever mention who was there.
...whispering, don't talk about fight club. Originally Posted by Busty

Pro's and con's of a social event:

Pro's:
Put faces to names, maybe do some in person "screening" talk to get know providers and clients. Everything above table, no sex talk.

share some laughs.

con's:

Depending on location of where it is held there is potential for trouble.
Let's say we all meet at some bar, shot some pool, play darts for fun... everything is 100% above board.

As soon as someone tries to transact some "business" & it turns out one of the 2 people is a UC, then all hell breaks loose.

Having it a hotel bar? this some risk because if any "business" is talked about in the bar it might create issues for others who are just there. Taking the discussing BCD only puts 1 person at risk. The hotel might get some eyes on it if it they knew what sort of gathering was going on.

essentially keep all business talk in a private room so that the risk is mitigated.

back in the late 90's a bunch of swingers met at a hotel on I-10 in the bar to socialize. Hooking up happened in the rooms but because no money was bandied about the hotel did not give a fuck. In fact they started meeting every weekend & because people were planning on hooking up & getting rooms the hotel gave them a price break on the rooms.

another con is doing a Toys for Tots Christmas social and having swat come from everywhere and bust us.

Granted only a few girls got busted (eventually got off) but still a literal buzz kill. Plus I did not get to eat my pasta.

They had a chef cooking to order.

notanewbie, that sucks! I'm not going for a public or large gathering: more like intimate gathering at a private home. Everyone will be screened so there will be no UC or LE activity. LOL

I’ll never understand why anyone would have the desire to be in a room full of providers and those that procure providers. I don’t think I would have much in common as this lifestyle represents perhaps less than 3 percent of what I am. Much rather go walking with Waffles and getting the other owners of their musty mutt dogs on board with accepting Waffles at the dog park without any coming Waffles way. That’s my priority in the present so definitely focused on that more so than going to any event with people in this industry.

I do concur with Wiley Coyote. People in Houston talk so much shit to each other I definitely have no desire seeing anyone unless it’s private bcd. It’s sad how in Houston board moderation has made it difficult for some folks to be here and just how nasty some people are and get away with it. Plus the lies that are strewn. Who wants to be around a bunch of liars. For those who enjoy those experiences great for them.

Double post. Sorry
Plus having socials in restaurants and bars to me is stupid. Rent out a private Airbnb . Have everyone bring their own liquor and drinks and hire a chef for the event. I’m sure if you can get enough guys willing to pay the total cost per guy wouldn’t exceed 300 which is an average outing anyway for the most part at a nice restaurant. The whole idea is just to interact with other people with hidden name tags right, so why not just have it at a Airbnb where the only people there are those who do this. Still not worth it for me to be involved, just a suggestion as to how the event could go way better and people possibly feel more secure.
