Since the Border War standings have been recorded, we have spanked your ass in almost every sport and dominated the Border War standings almost every year.

Mizzou fans are not delusional, we will not be a big dog in the SEC, nor will be a doormat contrary to what ku fans think. Right now we are middle of the pack in the SEC, and playing in the East makes things alot easier during the transition. We will reap more money there, and donations have already significantly increased with upgrades in facilities already scheduled, with more to come. With the population Missouri has, we will be just fine, thank you. You should really know what the hell you are talking about before spouting off, but I'm not surprised coming from a typical beaker.

Damn good game.Hats off to KU for the comeback. With the way these two are plaing each other, it would be great to see them play again in the big 12 tourney.

But in an effort to be objective I must agree with coach Self. Once a year for nothing other than bragging rights does not mean anything. It's been a great and fun rivalry. If it had not been for Norm it might have faded long ago. If I were a Missouri fan the biggest regret I would have is the fact that Mike Alden passed on the coach that is 19-4 against Missouri.

I have family in Louisana & my nephews father in law(Cajun)thinks that the Missouri tiger should get in the cage with LSUs tiger....LOL

Don't have a dog in this fight (I'm an Arizona Wildcat), but grew up around here and have always rooted for all the local teams. I'm a Big 12 guy and will continue to follow KU and K-State, but have no interest in the SEC. Have no idea why KU would want to play MU in the future. It's a non conference game. Unless MU comes to Lawrence every year, it doesn't make sense. Go play Duke at Madison Square Garden or Kentucky or North Carolina where recruits will actually watch the game. Playing Mizzou doesn't do KU any more good than playing Nebraska or Colorado (remember them, anybody miss them?). The rivalry will never be the same anyway since the stakes won't be as high as non conference foes. Plus in 2 years, I won't be able to name a player on the MU team or tell you what their record is, just not going to follow the SEC. I think eventually the interest in even playing the game will start to fade.

I know MU left for football and money, but I predict in 10-15 years people are going to be asking what the hell they were thinking. Missouri kids, recruits and alums just don't grow up saying they hate Arkansas and live to beat them every year, it ain't the Border War that goes back to the Civil War. And the SEC isn't necessarily always going to be the best football conference or where the big money is. Texas has a lot of TV sets, and if they get Notre Dame and a couple of other name teams, all of a sudden it looks pretty stupid and short sighted. And how can the asshole Missouri governor dump on KC and cost them all that money by losing out on the Big 12 tourney and other events, he was pushing hard for the move along with everyone in SE Missourah.

Sad to see them go, but it's strange to hear Mizzou fans act like it wasn't THEM that decided it wasn't a rivalry worth keeping. Don't wish them any ill will, but suspect they'll reap what they sowed. But what a game to finish on!!

Oh, and it's not just Kansas and Missouri. You ought to hear what people in Texas think of A&M leaving.

Anyone heard about a lynching in Columbia yet? I think Dixon may have the dumbest basketball of the year (despite the questionable nature of the call). How can you be anywhere near a guy who's essentially going for a dunk when you're up 3 with 16 seconds left?!

OK, I'm going to go pout in the corner for another couple of days ;-)
I don't understand how MU can blow a 19 point lead at the half, and then lose by one point at the end. Good for KU but I'm not a fan of either one. It was a good game though.

Well. we can play the blame game or encourage the schools to continue the rivalry, in both football and basketball. If you say you don't care you obviously just don't get it.

KU Students were lining up for 2 days before the game to have the 'HONOR' to be the 1st to enter Allen Fieldhouse for this game. What's that tell you about how students and alum feel?

Just curious how many fans actually attended the schools. It is a different experience for those who went there. No disrespect meant to those who didn't.

And damn it, I miss the Big 8 days.

Louisana? I need to invite you to the next fish fry. The guy next door makes killer Jambalaya.
