Remember this post when Obama and the Dems constantly state (lie) in October that the "Republicans are going to do away with Social Security and Medicare." Originally Posted by gnadfly

Please provide a cite to somewhere that the Republicans have said they want to do away with Social Security. I would find that interesting.

I sure Paul who considers himself a republican wants to transition off SS/MC

Hmmm . . . So it is only Republicans who want to decimate social security. I guess Rep. Hoyer didn't get the memo.

Fact is, both sides will demagogue this issue to death. Not just the Repubes.

Oh, you still didn't provide a cite. I'm waiting.

other than Bush wanting to privatize SS and Cantor proposing restructuring the age brackets to people under 54?55? And Paul's stance on SS which he deems unconstitutional "Doing away with" (not my word btw) is directed at Medicare/Medicade" and not SS ...

I addressed flys comment as a whole when apparently I should have dissected it for the hairsplitters.

What about Hoyer? Do you support him? Or are you just going to avoid that question, like you are avoiding posting a cite. Dodge and weave, you are pretty good at it.

Thank you. You should listen to Dr. Paul. If you want any part of the economy to be saved, we need policies like his. He has the right remedy. Protect the programs for those dependent on them, and allow younger people to opt out. In other words, he restores freedom to the system. Looks good to me. Thanks again.

Oh, and Bush is no longer President. You should have heard. It was in all the papers.

Yes, he left a stench behind, you are absolutely correct about that. Obama was elected to clean up the stench, but he has only made it worse. We don't have another four years to place blame and get nothing done. We need decisive action, and we need it now. We don't need to throw more money into our already over-inflated-on-the-verge-of-collapse economy. It's going to painful to turn this around, but it will be fatal if we don't.

And don't say "The Republicans say they are eliminating SS." Its the Democrats that are propagating that lie.

Just like the Dems calling the Republican's "War on Women" when they knew when Obamacare was passed that requiring the church to carry insurance that supported abortion and contraception was going to be a HUGE issue. Its the Dems issue. They saw it coming. They were warned. Own it. Don't dress it up as the Repub's "War on Women." Women can still get abortions and contraceptives.

Looks like we won't have to mark the post down for the Nov election--CJ is already living it.

Looks like you nailed the trade marks of the Republican party squarely on the head, CJ.

They are shameless in trying to instill fear in the sheep in the hopes that it will win them an election.

. . . Dick Chaney did exactly that after 9/11 and the mindless herd fell for that line of raw bullshit.

caught a 15 second glimpse of Mrs Romney speaking to the crowd in Mich after hubby squeaked out a win .. something like this

we are afraid for our children and the debt this government leaves them..

using the fear factor, and leaving out the fact the debt her hubby would leave behind is 11% bigger that the debt this? (assuming this is Obama) government would leave behind

fear and deception

how republican. Originally Posted by CJ7
