I'm such a geek: I wore my Iron Man t-shirt when I finally got to see it on my Saturday movie marathon, along with "Battleship" and "Dark Shadows." All were entertaining, the last two at least worth the price of matinee admission and popcorn, but the "The Avengers" was, as genuisman said, "freakin' awesome!" I now have new fantasies of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, and even Loki at a Fancy free-for-all! (No, Hulk is green, my favorite color, but just a wee bit too much even for me.)

Can't wait for the next installment. All of you caught the "extra" tease scenes in the credits?

I saw the avengers. great movie.

my only nit was with Nick Fury. the marvel character was white, not black (no offense to sam jackson who played the role well; did better than David Hasselhoff who also played Nick Fury in the Shield Movie). I do not like the casting decsion by the directors (too politically correct if you ask me)

I guess they could have hired Rihanna to play the "Black" Widow...or Snookie
