Why not cut the annual trillion dollar plus Defense spending.

Spend that money here in America!
I'm really tired of paying taxes to help fund bombing sovereign countries

Also, cut most of the billions in annual foreign aid.

I think our crumbling infrastructure is just another symptom of the larger problem of the national debt. We have disguised the problem of deficit spending by under funding maintenance of the infrastructure. Too many people visit places outside this country and "assume" that the good things they see outside this country are portable to this country. Our social and driving habits dictate the structure and wear on our roads, not to mention available "mass" transportation systems that are available for commutes that take the "pressure" off the existing systems in many countries. How did the "Jobs Creation Bill" originally proposed by the House, all five versions, turn into HIS bill? If you look into it, the bill passed has little to do with jobs creation. Its more about gutting environmental regulations. And it still doesn't address repair of our infra-structure.
