Has Obama grown a spine?

Anybody that calls the last four years a "recovery" is being dishonest. If a patient is in coma today and you come back four years later and he's still in a coma, he's not recovering. Originally Posted by joe bloe

Although there is no way to prove it I suspect that the recovery would have been more rapid if Obama had done nothing. Historically the economy has rebounded more rapidly after a recession.

The only way we can return to economic well being is to cut federal spending, not increase it. We need to grow the private sector economy not the government. We need more real jobs not more government makework jobs. The federal government is a cancer.

Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.

Obama's victory was not even close to a mandate. He won by 50.4% to 48.1%. An example of a mandate would be Reagan over Mondale 58.8% to 40.6%. Reagan won 49 states. Mondale was only able to carry his home state of Minnesota. Originally Posted by joe bloe
