The Hideout is a great bar, but not even close to being a biker bar. It is owned by the same people that ran the Pour House. It is my local neighborhood stomping ground. Great food, bartenders and (most importantly) cheap drinks! It is my go-to hangout, when I want to stick close to home. Not much of a pickup bar, though.
The bars on Burnet are great. Buddys is a cool redneck bar with a "Jocko" lawn jockey! Lalas is cool but way overpriced. The Poodle Dog is really divey! Its rarely busy. The Pour House is cheap, full bar, has a lot of girls and a big outdoor area for smokers. Food is available as well.
Oh you know what's kinda close to arboretum is some place called D& somethin its a crazy beer joint that's got a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge beer menu. Havent been in a while, probably easily found via Google

nice place, cool people, relaxed atmosphere, HUGE patio. Drinks are pricey though, be warned. I don't like paying more than $3 for a drink when I can buy a bottle for $15! CHEAP ass!!!!
5420-B Airport Blvd., Austin, Tx 78751. Its across from Motor Vehicles on Airport above the burger joint one flight up steel staircase to enter.
Barfly has great patio out back. Generous bartenders (pour em strong), cheap drinks, never door charge never a band (can always talk or play pool) fun mixed crowd... check out Barflys
I know Pour House closed, did Barflys close as well? Owned by the same folks I believe.
I am always down for dive bars. Hard to beat the Roadhouse in Round Rock for pure dive bar goodness... but don't pretend to be a biker if you aren't one!
