What is an acceptable time frame?

First come first serve. Its nothing personal its just business. You have to take the for sure than the maybe. In this business the for sure might even cancel on you. There are no guarantees here on either side. Things come up and shit happens. Originally Posted by just a guy

Alot of people who I see griping about NCNS/not being able to get ahold of a favourite seem to inevitably fail in following that bit of wisdom, Bistraight.

Well, it depends...

If you're communicating via text-messaging, you should get an answer pretty quickly...(unless the dumbass lets their cell-phone die. But that's a whole nuther bag of worms. lol), but seriously, depending on how quickly the texts were replied to throughout the present conversation, I'd say that's a pretty-good gauge to use unless otherwise noted.
If the texts were answered within say, 10 minutes, then allow a 15-20 minute window. After that, it's fair game.

E-mails? same as above.

In my mind, if a person wants to schedule an appointment with you, they'll do so as soon as possible. If there's some sort of hiccup that precludes them from doing so, then they need to convey that to the other party.

But bottom-line is simply this. This is a business and if someone is wishy-washy/dragging their feet in committing to book, then it's on them if they get bumped.

You're not obligated to hold the window open for anyone. But it's a nice gesture to allow the individual a reasonable amount of time to reply. If they haven't, then hold the window open for them until someone else makes the decision for them.

"A bird in the hand...", as the saying goes.

Or in a language you'll understand..,
