I missed the last couple of years here and am actually enjoying it this year.

Bacon Fried Cinnamon rolls - haven't tried yet
Pigs toes - not bad needs more heat

there is more I want to try but honestly I enjoy looking at the hot Texas women more than anything, they are free to look at..lol
I honestly have never been to the state fair but I'll finally get my chance this year!

Went to the State Fair of Texas at age 17 when they had Go Go dancers on stage that went inside a tent and became strippers. Strippers wore pasties back then, but those titties and asses still looked good. I swear we pimpled faced teens wearing letter jackets in 75 degree weather got in with no questions asked, and the police were just outside the tent watching us go in. That was priceless, and I would love to do it again if possible. That may be why I'm still a horny dog as an old man. I hope some of you guys can remember that to verify I am not bullshitting. As a young lad, I remember looking up in awe at the first Big Tex. I also remember covering the entire fair grounds from one end to the other and back several times. Now, if I can get from the front gate to the rear and back, I think I've run a marathon.

Does anyone remember the Dickies booth? They gave out numbers you wore on your shirt and, if you found someone with your member, you both won a pair of pants. I recall wearing my ugly blue Dickies to school with pride.

I want to try the fried Thanksgiving dinner this year. I don't know what exhibits are there yet. Dog shows are fun to watch (I love dogs), and people watching is at its finest. Afterwards, there is The Lion King at the musicals.

There are lots of good memories to be had at the State Fair. Go if you can. There is something for everyone (even parking hassles), but you can take DART to the front gate.
There IS more to be had on the Ferris Wheel than a handjob. I learned that a LONG time ago. In fact ~z~ was probably still on some parents' wish list (OMG!) when I became Ferris Wheel experienced!

I haven't been to the Fair in at least 15 years.
It was great as a kid, but it wore off as an adult.
I wouldn't mind having a go in the Ferris wheel with Tara Evans.
Yum!!
Thanks Funseeker

If you get a chance, pick up the Dallas Ovserver before Thursday (when the new one comes out) Its the "best of Dallas" issue and there is a big article on doing the fair cheaply. There is also a people watching bingo type game.

I'll try and scan some of the pages later today.

I have never been. Maybe I will drive up this weekend to go. I just hope they have Turkey legs and roasted corn.

I would love a tour guide ;-)
