I have at least a dozen Hendrix DVDs. My faves are the full length Monterey Pop set, and 25th anniversary full Woodstock set. Live at Berkeley is also awesome.
C'mon, Hendrix fans, what's the song title? I don't care if you're his sister or his brother or just another punk white kid playin the blues...you can't know the music or the man if you don't know his story! Let's get to Googling, Hendrix fans!

There is an apocryphal story that Hendrix sleazy manager
had him killed for insurance money.

No no no CT, we're talking about one of Hendrix's first studio gigs, backing Jane Mansfield, not Lagerfeld Humperyourdick or whatever...and if Infield Fwapsomedick HAD been the inspiration for "The Wind Cries Mary" it would have been a novelty song called "The Wind Broke Merry", Trust me.

OK OK OK.....45 rpm single - As the Clouds Drift By, flip side Suey.
And of course I had to Google Jane Mansfield to find that out.
That's a forgotten, long lost bit of trivia.

Back to Hendrix... let's also remember the jazz fusion drumming style of his drummer Mitch Mitchell.
Those 2 really fed off of each other and often Hendrix would record alone with Mitch.
Maybe best expressed and felt in Fire. That was an "Experience."
Alright, now dig this baby....

You damaged your street cred by promoting Engelbert Humperdinck on a Hendrix thread.
Suey was what I was lookig for, Hendrix had nothing to do with clouds drifting by. Well, maybe he did, but not the tune. Or so I'm told.

And that bit about Jinglebells Humpsadick and street cred is true!
I wish iTunes would sell War Heroes. Used to have the CD and lost the fucker before I could download the tracks. I noticed one of the songs, "Midnight" can be purchased but not the album, dang it.

If any song is worth 99 cents, that one is.
