2023 Steelers Season Thread

Deshaun Watson is out for the year. $250 million guaranteed.
At least our average QB can be replaced. The Browns are stuck with him for four more years. Originally Posted by Charley3

Well, the wet dream fantasy just came to an end.

Seems mediocrity has been achieved, Cleveland broke the streak that a piece of shit team can become a champion.

I guess the other wet dream that Tomlin can win a superbowl this year, be voted the greatest hyphenated coach of all time, and retire into the sunset, has been popped as well.

Here's to 9 and 8.

And no soup or playoffs for you.
Absolutely pathetic offense. Nothing has changed all year, we just didn’t pull this one out of our ass.
Canada and Kenny need to go away after this year, if not sooner.

Kenny P is not a NFL franchise quarterback. Matt Canada is a fucking joke. Pittsburgh got out-coached again by an inferior team. Guess they'll be rebuilding like the Pirates.

kenny is a big disappointment, his accuracy is sub par

did we attempt one pass over 20 yards?

the standard is the standard but the standard now is mediocrity

rooney is stubborn and i dont doubt kenny is here as the starter for years to come

our only hope is canada gets canned and a new OC can up kennys game somehow

The lack of urgency by the staff is alarming. It's like they're depending on a 4th quarter comeback every fucking game. That doesn't make sense in this NFL where parity is the norm. Lazy fucking coaching in my opinion.

... Why post?

... Because we're looking for OPINIONS here. ... From everybody.

... Even yours. .... And even mine.
And even Ned Kelly's - if he was posting here.

Not great coaching, but the QB play is even worse. Kenny sucks. I don't think he can even achieve Trent Dilfer success. He needs to be holding a clipboard from now on. Let Trubisky finish the year and draft a real QB next year.
Franchise QBs are hard to come by. I personally hate the idea of trading for Cousins or Murray. I’d draft QB in round 1 again next year and hope you pick a Stroud and not a Pickett.

But a part of me still feels Tomlin screwed Kenny with Canada!!
... I agree with you two mates on this, especially Char's take
that Tomlin saddled Kenny with Canada. And maybe it's NOT
so much Kenny's "hurry-up throws" but Canada's play-callings.

Some of them - like running the ball at the WRONG time
are downright baffling.

And what's-with the defence and the soft marking "zone" defence??
When the footballer managers see that yer in big diamond
- they're surely prepared to pass right around it.... ...

A year too long but glad it's over. I hope they bring someone in and don't hire from within.
It won't happen but I'd love to see Todd Haley come back
