If we're all honest with ourselves, the award prolly should go to Lebron.
Yeah, I know he's won it numerous times before.....but there's no denying the immediate impact he's had on the Cavs since his return.
He's gotten Cleveland back into the playoffs for the first time since taking his talents to Miami. Should he be the catalyst that gets the Cavs to the Eastern Conference championship....or beyond......isn't that what a Most Valuable Player award should be about?
It pisses me off that ESPN (from practically game one of the regular season) feels it's their duty to tell everyone who THEY believe the MVP should be. The talking heads chatted up Westbrook, Curry and Harden weekly as if no one else in the NBA was doing a damned thing to help their team win games.
Hell...the fact OK City didn't even make the playoffs tells me everything I need to know about how valuable Kevin Durant is to that team. Even though he missed most of the season perhaps he's just as deserving to be this year's winner (again).
If The Beard doesn't get MVP this year I'm bitching and complaining. Though Stephen Curry has been doing the damn thing. Anyone watch Smitty's Top 5 Under the Rim? TFF every episode. It's the highlight of my week.
