Your thoughts on the Saliva HIV testing kit

Ok i'm going to chime in here especially since i see comments by the jerk that constantly attacks me on the Nola board because BBBJ is not an option for me. Sorry But thats a level of intimacy I REFUSE to share with a stranger who may or may not have an std.

#1) Isis CBJ is not unacceptable. I only offer cbj and I do just fine.
What you and other ladies need to realize is that as providers we set the rules.
It is our body and we can not be forced to do something we dont want to.
If you chose not to stand by your beliefs/standards and what not then that is on
you as the provider not the clients. They can only get away with what you allow.

#2) I personally think the idea of a rapid HIV test before any BCD activities is a GREAT
idea but a few questions come to mind.
a) who pays for the test
b) compensation for my time while we wait ( yes i said compensation for that tim e
too thats what I charge for not services )
c) How accurate is this test?

No matter what any BB activity is dangerous and you are playing russian roulette when you do it. It all comes down to how concerned you are about safety and how much you are willing to gamble with your health. That goes for hobbying and civie life alike.

Whatever choice is made needs to be made because thats the choice you are comfortable with, Not because you feel pressured.

Why on earth would there be more pressure to BB if only HIV is ruled out with this test? There are so many other STDs and pregnancy issues that go with performing BB services. Test each other all ya want, but I can't see how anyone would think that HIV is the only concern associated with using condoms. Really? Why waste time or money buying and performing tests that will end in the same practice anyway?

I mean really, how many folks are gonna consent to testing in front of each other if they know they may have been exposed to or even caught the "booty flu" due to unsafe practices? It would ruin both the hobbyist or the provider if it ever got out they tested positive. And yes, it would manage to get out somehow. Then there are those who like to start vicious and unfounded rumors. So, IMO, it's not necessary. Keep getting tested as you always have as it's best to have peace of mind and no worries when it comes to such a serious illness!

Me....I'd rather spend the time playing and will graciously accept the tip for the amount you didn't spend on tests....LOL I'm happy to take it for ya if that makes ya feel better about the time we spend together, but you're still going to use a condom and pay for the time we spent taking the test.

Vice Versa... If he asks the provider to take the test then he pays for it. Those 20-30 minutes you two have to wait, He covers it.

As far as how accurate the test is.. That is what I'm dying to know.

C'mon now. Have you not seen provider ads here advertising the infamous stripper slide? Have you not seen alerts saying that the providers was willing to engage in BBFS OR the reviews saying that they DID engage in BBFS? This would only give them that extra Umph! Alot of ladies take these things lightly. I have seen it here on eccie and it's disgusting. Why anyone would risk their life for fucking $300 or even $1000 an hour is beyond me but it DOES happen. Want some links? I can pm them to you. So we can all sit here, kid ourselves and say that this won't result in SOME provider thinking that bbfs is ok .. but it will. When one provider engages in bbfs with a client, we are ALL at risk. It is just stupid to say that ladies won't do it because it does happen and it will continue to happen.

I am all for the test. I would be willing to take the test in front of the client and all but what does that prove? So what I'm HIV negative but what about all the other STDs out there?

They swab your mouth, thoroughly, and yes ... it takes about 20 minutes. The nurse taking the sample told me that the test had been proven to be just as accurate as a blood test. This organization specializes in testing for sexually active persons in the gay community so they did seem to know their stuff.

My question would be that it takes awhile for these antibodies to show. So you're exposed to this virus while attending a party and being foolish last week with the cabana boy. THIS week, you're seeing a woman and take the test.

Will the exposure show up this week after last week's bash?

Probably not. We always need to safeguard ourselves regardless of current test results. That's my philosophy.

To Jahiara's point, we would all have to redefine our definition of a meeting and times that go with them. I would be adamantly opposed to booking an hour worth of time only to spend 20-30 minutes of it waiting for the results. My time is equally as valuable as yours, as is my money, and I'm going to have to sit there too.

Thank you Elisabeth for that information. This is quite an intriguing topic, one that could possibly redefine the standards and rules in this biz!

I ended up getting sick sort of out of the blue. At first I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was the typical flu that I get every winter every year my entire life....

I remember my back really aching at first. Then everything else started to ache. Finally my whole body hurt so bad I could hardly move. I stayed in bed. But then I woke up and my eyes and skin were yellow. My urine was a dark brown color. I went to the doctor and to make a long story short I ended up having viral Hepatitis. Thank god not Hepatitis C. I quit escorting for a few months....

Actually at the time I told myself I was done for good with escorting. A few months go by, I recover and I start escorting again. (I'm not going to get into why I went back into it.) So when I went back I was stricly CBJ and I have been doing CBJ for the past 2 years. Just last week I did BBBJ. I don't know why I did it. I'm new here to Eccie and reading all the men here bitch and moan about CBJ makes me afraid of losing buisiness....

I have reviews on another site and they are glowing. But I've always done CBJ. I'm afraid of getting sick. Thats why I brought up the saliva test for HIV. I'm curious and interested in ways everyone can protect themselves. But chica chaser is correct, there are others out there. You can get Hepatitis and everyone seems to forget that. I'm sticking to CBJ. Kudos to the ladies who don't feel bullied into doing BBBJ. It's just too dangerous. And might I ad, if you get viral Hepatitis you will be out of comission for WEEKS. Not 1 week, more like 6-8. It's not like a cold. It's like having a nasty flu for weeks. You ache all over. You wont be able to escort, you will be too tired. So to everyone who does BBBJ, just keep that in mind. Save up some money just in case you are out of comission.

Incognito, I've read where other ladies gargle and rinse their mouths out with peroxide (watered down, of course....not full blast) in between clients. I don't know if you're brushing your teeth in between sessions or not. Probably better NOT to brush, so you don't open any abrasions on your gumline. But if you absolutley insist on brushing, do so very lightly. A little Vitamin C in your system helps, too. Citrus juice drinks (orange, pineapple, lemon) will give you Vitamin C and help beat those germs that lead to nagging ailments, not to mention giving a boost of energy.

I don't know if you'd thought of this stuff already. If not, something to consider. Or maybe you could talk to other ladies and see what works for them. Just throwing some options out there.

Alot of us know how to say "NO". I don't let the guys run my business.
We make the rules in this business not the client. While everyone is lowering
their rates I'm raising mine. Do what you feel comfortable with even if you'll be
making $100 less. You'll be a lot happier.

If a 20 minute test could eliminate all of the concerns for both parties, I would be in favor of it. Originally Posted by Chica Chaser

This seems like a great idea on the surface. But think about this, do you want to find out you have something in front of another person in the business like that? If I am to find out I got something I'd want a DOCTOR to tell me. And what happens to the session if one comes back positive? Or both? I'm just taking the devil's advocate angle here. I would say periodic checks is the best way to go about it. If you came up showing something in front of the other person now you gotta hope they don't go blabber mouth on you. Just saying.

Love the idea of being safe and keeping it safe.
We wouldn't have thise issue, if "it" was legalized. I once watched a show on HBO about the brothels in Nevada, they never had any issue for 20 years. I think if it was legalized and test was done routinely, we could reduce the percentage.
