Backpage - TOAST!

Of course, but in smaller towns backpage may be the /only/ option. Like I live in Lincoln, Nebraska. Eccie isn't mega popular. I get nearly 75% of my revenue from backpage (with thorough screening, of course). P411, eccie, TER, etc etc are not my bread and butter. This goes for a lot of sex workers. Thankfully I'm in a position where I can afford to take the hit, but not everyone can. All I'm saying is a little empathy towards those providers can really go a long way.

So..in case everyone did not know ..there are tons of other sites.
Yes..there are.
Is anyone really under the impression that BP was safe .or any other site if you get technical about it.
BP was a very 2 sided coin metaphorically speaking.
I've used BP for my whole duration..and have met the MOST INCREDIBLE men.
Ones who absolutely could NOT register on the " safe" sites ( what a delusion)
Because the consequences would be life devastating for them if it were ever discovered!
But they knew how to work it..as did I.
Most newbie CLIENTS & Providers start on BP.
I have redirected & educated a lot of men and women to " safer" sites in my 6.5 yrs in this industry.
The Flip side was it was aimlessly ran.
& Out of control& very dangerous.
This industry ladies& gentlemen... Is extremely dangerous.
PERIOD.
& Nobody has flowery smelling pooh for not utilizing BP.
& Because of the small insignificant sites that are out there.. everything will balance out.
The end.
Be Safe..
Sad that this has to happen - BP was an avenue many used to hobby...

But the oldest profession in history has survived this long for a reason...

I doubt BP will take it down single-handedly...

Besides, what has this really been if not simply dating - just dating a lot of people for a little amount of time...

Fat bitch? Okay, lol. I can see we won't be having any actual discourse. À tout à l'heure. Originally Posted by GemmaFox

If memory serves me correct she was on the board first as Gemma. And if memory also serves me correct your handle was something different and switched to your current handle only in last year. Might be what brought on the snap back.

Just my observations

Yes, my a eccie username was different when I first signed up. But, if you recall, in my post about it I stated that Gemma Fox had been my sex worker handle on other platforms (namely phone sex and web camming) for the last five years. Also, she is hardly the only Gemma on the boards. Regardless, calling someone "insert name" #2 isn't against the rules where as personal attacks like fat bitch are, and the mods have been made aware.

Gotta give respect to get it!!
Don't play victim. You wanna dish shit out let's see if you can take it. i knew you would report me and I could also report you, but I've got better things to do than tattle on a plus sized snobby hooker.

So childish, lol. If you're going to insult someone at least be a little creative with it. This is the third time you've called me fat, you're starting to sound like a parrot. Anyway, Im not about to derail this post more than it already has been. If any BP escorts want advice on other websites to check out, hit me up. I can link you to my reddit sub post about it.

Sad to see it go, but it was inevitable. Heard that the Bunny Ranch twitter was celebrating it as a victory for them (legal brothels).

I'll also volunteer my services to ref the k-y cage match between Gemma and Gemma. That's how a conflict gets resolved, right?...No...ok, it was worth a shot.

I must say Gemma #2. You come across as a bossy $&@#. Have some class. Gemma Fox is stating her opinion. Deal with it. No need for personal insults. Grow up

No, backpage is not the streets. To say that is just silly.. Originally Posted by GemmaFox

Yeah, shame they shut that fucker down, then.

Absurd to think that those girls are going to be walking the streets en masse- the money that used to seek them out will still find them in exactly the same shitty places it used to, and they'll still barely see a dime of it. The pushers just lost one advertising venue, they didn't lose their customers or their cash flow.
I'm personally glad BP is shut down. It just seemed too sketchy for me, I won't even take a reference from a lady who strictly uses BP, you never know who you're really talking to. I feel like this site & a couple of other sites are a bit safer than the BP life. I'm sure before too long, we will be getting a flood of new girls on this site.

No, backpage is not the streets. To say that is just silly.

And yes, Gemma #2, forcing women to work the streets where they are more likely to encounter dangerous situations, removing the number one (and sometimes only! Depending on where you live) advertising avenue will cause some sex workers to go under. Some will go hungry (and in turn so will their families and children), without medication, possibly get evicted if they cannot pay their rent or mortgages, unable to afford tuition, etc. If you can't see how this affects survival sex workers then you're either incredibly privileged or just dense. Yea, I don't really think this is gonna be an issue. If the girls that depend on BP need to find another site, they probably will find something before hitting the streets.
