Does anyone (besides CJ) know where this presidential vetting came from? Presidents don't vet anyone. The FBI and secret service do that independent from the president. If they had vetted Jeremiah Wright, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Frank Marshall, Valeria Jarrett, William Ayres, and probably Barack Obama won't have gotten their clearance to visit the west wing.
