Tell me about Mitt Romney

Tell us, oh wise and all knowing WDF and Doove. How much should taxes be to cover current spending? And please include a small amount to pay down our debt.

How much? Let's raise taxes and balance the budget. What rate would that be?
You know I have only been posting in the sandbox for a couple of days now. But there is 1 thing I have noticed about you. You never sesm to contribute anything worthwhile to the discussion. All you can do is call people names, like "asshole" and "asswipe". You have some serious issues. You would be wise to get some help. Originally Posted by NiceGuy53

The asshole comment was justified. You ask for something...
You get it.. You complain. Makes you an asshole.

I contribute my time and thoughts to the board how I see fit.
If you don't care for my opinion. Congrats, join their club.

If being called an asshole offends... Thicken your skin.
That's almost a compliment around here.

Happy postings. Glad your here.

If so, you would know that the question you ask is a constant changing number.

Very similiar to Keynes. Higher % taxes in good times lower taxes in recession.

And while I agree with those suggestions, and would add quite a few more to them, how much would the deficit go down if we were to implement those changes?

And I'm sure you are much more familiar with kindergarten questions than college questions, so I will try to keep the questions more simple. If the question above is too hard for you, I will know by how you deflect or avoid answering, so I will try to simplify it again. But try it this way. Let's see if you can handle it.

Ok. You dodged it. The question was too hard. Let me answer it for you, so you will have an example to follow in the future. Here is an excellent video which explains how taxes, even if increased to 100%, will have little or no effect on the deficit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNF8HYh59Rs

It's spending, stupid. There isn't enough money out there to grab from the rich to make a significant dent in the deficit, and would have no effect on the debt at all.

This tax argument is sheer, unadulterated class warfare demagoguery. We have to address the real issues, like spending, rather than rallying the troops to hate those who don't "pay their fair share". And the worst part is, when the Congress had the chance to make those people "Pay their fair share" they caved, and didn't. So the tax arguments are just hot air. Neither side will do anything.

It's the SPENDING, stupid.

Why do you expect me to defend Ryan? He won't do anything substantial. He's a typical RINO. Why would I defend or support him?
