Any good dive bars in/close to the Arboretum area?

Take your time, shed the burbs and go down to East 6th street. You can find every manner of bar, floozie and musical presentation there.

another vote for Hideout. Great hidden bar off mopac south of parmer. Great atmosphere and I think the best burgers in north austin. great patio. But as the other guy said not really pick up joint. People tend to hang in groups
