WTF........is up with the ISO?

I took a quick look, Syeira, and I think a lot of those guys are looking for something short notice in a particular area.

It does seem as if the number of threads of that sort have increased since the IPSNAT was closed. Originally Posted by TinMan

Pink said it accurately: laziness is easier than research. Last minute has always been difficult, and the demise of the ONE ISO ad-fest is not responsible for ISO going downhill.

Why would a guy bother to do his own work (as CG pointed out) when he can just be lazy and post a REVERSE ad in ISO? Even when he gets stupid, off-topic replies, all he really wants is ONE good reply that meets his need. "It only takes one" is the motto.

Thankyou!

No one got butthurt from having the "Short notice Availability" (The original thread, without all the damn rules in it) and we need that thread back!

Also, is the "ISO anyone who really needs business?" Thread gone too?

I love it when the free ECCIE ad space is the problem, not the solution.

Who says it has to be free? Make material improvements in these features and it just might be another revenue source.

I stopped reading the ISOs a long time ago ever since the mods decided to take away the short notice availability thread. The mods would rather keep the BBFS threads open. What a shame, lol. Originally Posted by brownsugarbaby

When I asked this same question in another thread specific to the subject, not one person responded that they had emailed ownership requesting it be reopened. It might not do any good (I never got a reply to my email), but at this point that is our only recourse.

Frankly, I'd rather see improvements in the ability to search for providers based upon a broader set of parameters, but the IPSNAT was a quick fix that addressed one of those parameters...which was why I started it.

Protip: An ISO is a man telling you he is willing to spend money. Complaining about that is just bad business.

You are asking for a total change to how ECCIE works, all to suit the "short notice" need. What I don't think you are willing to see is that the need doesn't justify the cost.

"ECCIE would be better if feature X were put in place," is a common request. Hell, I agree that some short-notice thing would be good for many.

I suggested a work around as well. (Buy a private forum and advertise however you want) That idea was declined because it wasn't worth it to those involved.

Guys, you want a short notice ad forum? Chip in. Cost of ownership is something like $300 for a few months. That CAN'T be that hard for a few guys to come up with. Part with one $60 BNG a month and you can find them "on demand." It'll be like Netflix for blowjobs.

To brownsugar baby and any provider complaining that the loss of one desperation thread is some crippling marketing blow: put your money where your mouth is. You need more ad space to advertise more often? BUY SOME. Buy a banner. Buy a private forum and start an ad forum in it. Buy a Backpage ad. Advertising for hookers abounds. Complaining about the place that has it for free is just crap.

Please don't act like the moderators or ECCIE are to blame for your lack of ad opportunity. There are so many ways to get your name out here that we trip over ads in pretty much every thread. ThreADs are alive and well, and even allowed in the rules.

You're interpreting my comment more narrowly than I intended. I'm suggesting the owners consider making adjustments to the model to accommodate changes being discussed in this thread. Not just the short notice issue, but a general upgrade of the provider search feature. As I said in one of the earlier posts, that is of more value to me (and something I might be willing to pay for) than a short notice forum.

P411, Eccie and BP are all lacking in this regard. This creates an opportunity for someone to come in and make some money if they can build a better mouse trap. That might as well be Eccie as anyone.

I am also not blaming the mods for this. In fact, several times here and elsewhere I've told folks to direct their questions to the owners, as I have done. Anything that creates more work for a volunteer staff is a nonstarter, and should be. This site is mature enough that I would think the owners would be interested in exploring ideas to generate more revenue.
Copier great list of what guys want in ads.. Thanks to this thread it has made my posting ads so much easier. I forgot guys want it to the point no bs no long ads... Thanks Pink for the thread.

Very Well Said Sir.

I see ALOT of provider AD's that give you this long story about how she is the best and will rock my world, blah, blah, blah... Let me be the judge of that. ... with all that typing a provider does, how hard is it to type a damn location for that AD?
"Plano" or " Frisco" or "Carrollton" "Addison" "635/75 high 5" area, etc... ???
not just north dallas.

5 things in every AD is all we need:

1) Pictures or Videos or both
2) Pricing
3) Location
4) availability
5) P411 link

thats it, sweet and to the point.
If you are serious about being a provider, put that much info on your sig. line.

MOST guys don't have time to read a ton of posts hoping a sig line catches their eye.

After basic looks, many guys are sensitive to price and even more sensitive to location. And I'll say it again, generic locations suck. DFW? Dallas? N Dallas?

IF providers started using ZIP codes it would be a hell of a lot easier to search their ads.

This is a worthless ad title. A great example of what I said in the previous paragraph.

This is a good ad title. It tells me her race, incall location, and the fact she is offering several specials.

What would be most helpful for me is a place to find out who is available in the next 1-3 hours. I only hobby when my schedule craters or I have a cancellation.
I never go to chat or ISO section. I don't have the time nor the desire. I don't even put an ad here in Dallas...only when I happen to travel. If a guy is looking for my type, then he WILL find me. If not, that's ok, too. I'd rather spend time with someone who wants to spend time with ME...rather than someone who just wants to do whoever happens to be available at the time. :-)
ISO is a good place for (as mentioned) short notice or a particular fetish; I post an ISO occasionally. Bc I travel a lot I cant ready a zillion threads or reviews or adds in EVERY city I visit weekly. ISO has been a good way to find local short notice talent, and IMO thats a lot better option than trolling BP or other sites. Some call it lazy others call it efficiency...(im betting even the OP agrees saving time is worth money lol)
ISO Samantha Thom type. Must have pointe shoes and tennis racquet. PM Availability. Must be close to Plano/N Dallas.

Now that I've posted that I'll bet I get PM's from large ladies, old ladies, young ladies, ladies of divergent ethnicity, somebody with tap shoes and someone with no sense of geography will tell me they are available 24/7 in Keller. And somebody will tell me how great Fawn is. Then a lot of OT bandwidth wasting will go on and that's what's wrong with and/or why bother with ISO. Plus one on bashing most of the ads. I don't care if you're the hottest spinner ever from Moosescrotum, Georgia. Where are you, when are you there and how much, pics, done. I don't think a lot of guys even bother with the ads where the title is full of misuse of caps and BS wingdings. I don't.
