I prefer talking and getting to know the gentleman I am about to spend the day (notice I didn't say an hour, since I prefer Clock Free type of dates) BEFORE he is face to face with me.

I can learn LOTS about a person with a bit of "before date" conversation.

Some have made me even more excited to see them, and some I was able to see the "crazy eyes" (How I Met Your Mother reference) and steer clear of that person.

I get just as nervous as you men before a date with a stranger, and I must feel comfortable and a slight connection before I feel at ease inviting someone (male or female) into my private space.

AND. Since I do prefer the Clock Free Dates, we have all the time in the world to talk, cuddle, SEX, SEX, More SEX, talk, SEX, SEX, oh and did I mention Sex? *giggling*

What do you talk about?

Honestly... People tell us a lot about their lives. What they are stressing about, what's going on at work, their vacations, their parties, favorite restaurants, hobbies, their kids, their wives even. I'd think most of the well reviewed and respected women here didn't gain those recommendations by lacking discretion. I'm not recommending you tell just anyone all your information, but there are plenty of us who know and keep a lot of secrets.

For most women we are not wired to just jump in feet first-. A little conversation goes a long way with me. Not that I am going sit there talking for three hours talking but I like to get a sense of who I am spending my time with. I do not however discuss my personal like too much as I don't ask a lot of questions about theirs either

I consider my self relatively sane ;-) and so I like to chat to determine if the woman is batshitcrazy or normal. I won't start until I get a sense of the mental make-up via verbal conversation.
