Why kind of plane can you get for 400K?

Just a typo or an indication of something else, hmmm???

3. The new Air Force One has been at the official Boeing 747 refurb facility at San Antonio International for the past two weeks. Some of the upgrades / enhancements include:
- Every exterior surface will be ion coated 24K gold. This is the most effective defense for scattering IR laser targeting from ground - to - air missiles, no doubt fired by enraged DemoKans.
- The exterior extra distance fuel tanks will be refitted with massive, concert quality loudspeakers. Our Ultimate Leader was forever impressed with the Air Assault scene from Apocalypse Now that the new plane will deploy loudspeakers on final approach / landing / taxi to designated terminal. They will be blaring Rick James' "Super Freak" at 190 db +. Two tanks will spray aerosol napalm, because napalm in the morning smells like Victory, and the new plane has to smell as good as it looks, not like that trashy, overseas from you-know-where cologne.

4. Upon completion and delivery of the refurb to Andrews AFB, the call sign "Air Force One" will be permanently retired, and the new aircraft will be christened with the call sign "Ho Boat One, This Space Available for Your Ad".

I am so proud to be an Amerikan, and of our fearless Ayatollah, who gives his heart to every true Amerikan!

P.S.: I am not from South Afrika, and I am not being paid (directly) for this endorse / advertise ment.

The current AF1 747 are more than 35 years old... delivered when I was in HS.

Boeing has a contract on new ones... but is over budget and years behind schedule.... Boeing isn't what it once was.

These are interim aircraft. The work to bring them up to spec will be done by the AF, not Boeing.... so it will actually be in the air by the end of the year.

I'd be willing to bet that the Boeing contract dies and that any planes obtained from Qatar would soldier on as the AF1 aircraft.... Originally Posted by texassapper

Gotta say Boeing does have a history keeping old stuff in the air for extreme usages.

When AF1 hits the age of the youngest B-52 that is currently in the air, than i'd think it'd be gone.

"The plane will then be transferred to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation no later than Jan. 1, 2029, and any costs relating to its transfer will be paid for by the U.S. Air Force, the sources told ABC News."" Originally Posted by saustin
