You do realize that ICE is targeting anyone who is looking ethnic enough, right? A citizen shouldn't need to provide their birth certificate to ICE at their place of work, and because of it, they can be taken because they look ethnic enough.

But at this point, they are not going after just the criminals. You think you are advocating the good fight, and on paper, you are. But behind the smoke and mirrors, what you think is being done isn't actually what is being done.

The Great Deporter took a lot of flack for it from Dems and Republicans alike.

Still managed to generally preserve their human dignity even if he did deport folks like it was his only job. And he worked with allies to help make it happen.

In fact, some of why Homan's job is so tough right now is because of Obama's deportation actions and the response from the states.

Part II - a little bit later Trump was speaking in Fla. He talked about the flight to Colombia, the criminals on the flight, and yes they were cuffed for security reasons on a military plane. Once again, good enough for me.

It's funny to me that no one seems to want to go beyond surface level. As usual. Chalk that up to a combo of ignorance of what's normal and customary, what's actual policy and a lack of empathy despite not knowing who is on the planes. Devo has told us not to trust what the gov says, yet much picking and choosing based on narrative occurs.

The Brazil flights were a major driver of Petro's pushback. Reports of deportees (not all male, not all adults and many with no criminal history) cuffed and leg shackled being led off the plane. The reports of the conditions on the flight. Medical situations. Lack of ventilation. No water given. No ability to use restrooms.

Part of the discussion from U.S. officials to Petro were assurances regarding the removal of handcuffs and that DHS personnel would accompany them rather than U.S. military.

The U.S. also agreed to stop the photo ops and not photograph or film the Colombian deportees

I'd also surmise that Trumpybear's overreaction has pushed Colombia into closer ties with China, which is not in our best interest. Wouldn't be shocked to see them overtake us as Columbia's top trading partner in the next couple of years

Yes Gristle, that’s one of the biggest misunderstandings about the impacts of diplomacy. The more we shit on Mexico and Latin American countries, China is eager to become good friends with them and they become more willing to blow us off.

Since I asked for you boys to find the charge sheets I clearly want more discussion because you will almost certainly find some things that point to very nasty criminals and I strongly suspect some that only crossed the border. Personally any illegal that the Gov can legally deport is good by me.

Idc about any other charges, by definition they are illegal if they broke the immigration laws of the United States. This may of course include the plane to Colombia.

What I'm asking for is... did they break a law? If they showed up at the port of entry and got rounded up for a return flight... what law was broken?

You don't seem curious. I get it. You don't care. But Fox has admitted to not being truthful, we know Trump has not been truthful and we know there's hyperbole and spin.

I see where your bias kicks in. Mine wants to dig a bit because I know details from other flights that leave me skeptical.

I also know that Homan needs more funding, but they chose the expensive military plane that costs 3x (or more) more per hour when they could charter and get more people per plane than what they had on those 2 flights if they wanted to.

I know they chose to release pics and clips for the optics, because it makes for good TV with Fox viewers.

So... what crimes were they all guilty of? And were they charged here? Convicted here? Were those crimes from abroad?

Was their failure to abide by the laws of U.S. what made them subject to be deported to Colombia? Is that considered being subject to the jurisdiction?

I am against globalism as I believe the end game is very bad for all of us reading this thread. If you are coming from the 3rd world you will benefit.

Anything that moves away from globalism I am for including the plane that went back to Colombia.
