2014 NBA discussion thread

I agree with the Cattarderator with the exception of calling a timeout...GS was one of the better defensive teams in the league this year, I know the Rockets could call a play but GS could also set up there D too, don't give them a chance to do that

Harden knew he fucked up as soon as the game was over...drive the ball and make them foul you, or at least shoot a J. Why on earth he passed the ball to Howard amazes me because he sure as hell didn't want the last shot the way he passed it back so quickly LOL

They had numbers going their way when Barns missed that reverse layup, couldn't ask the Rockets to have a better situation to end the game, best player on the team driving down the court with a full head of steam-that's better than any play a coach can dial up, just didn't execute.

Rockets spirit is broken now for sure!! They will be swept on Monday.
The way they played last night was horrific and a HUGE DISGRACE to Houston and the team. Period!! I've never seen a team in a Conference Final do so horrible!!! Sorry, but Rockets DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE CONFERENCE FINAL!!

Looks like the Rockets will soon snag the "Loveable Losers" title from the Chicago Cubs.

Well they live to see another game.

The Rockets attacked early and made shots, and never really let up.

Steph Curry took a nasty fall, but came back later and wasn't much of a factor.

Harden must've bought him some good pussy last night. 45 points!
Maybe Lebron really was the MVP this season....and we were simply waiting for the playoffs to roll around to be reminded of his greatness.

Again, yes, I know it's a "regular season" award; not post-season...and Curry deserved this honor....yadda yadda....... that said, just look at how he's put his team on his back (since losing second-in-command Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love).....it's pretty remarkable.

I figure Lebron could give a flying rip about the MVP award any more......odds are the only thing he's interested in is chalking up Win # 16 in the playoffs and hoisting that championship trophy. And I have to believe that's the stance a true leader would take at this point in their career.

looking ahead, I'm not sure if his efforts alone will be enough to tally 4 W's vs the Warriors (I assume this is going to the the championship series)....anyways, it's been a helluva a show so far watching him will his Cavs teammates to the Finals.....

If we're all honest with ourselves, the award prolly should go to Lebron.

Yeah, I know he's won it numerous times before.....but there's no denying the immediate impact he's had on the Cavs since his return.

He's gotten Cleveland back into the playoffs for the first time since taking his talents to Miami. Should he be the catalyst that gets the Cavs to the Eastern Conference championship....or beyond......isn't that what a Most Valuable Player award should be about?

It pisses me off that ESPN (from practically game one of the regular season) feels it's their duty to tell everyone who THEY believe the MVP should be. The talking heads chatted up Westbrook, Curry and Harden weekly as if no one else in the NBA was doing a damned thing to help their team win games.

Hell...the fact OK City didn't even make the playoffs tells me everything I need to know about how valuable Kevin Durant is to that team. Even though he missed most of the season perhaps he's just as deserving to be this year's winner (again). Originally Posted by Chateau Becot

Rockets ain't winning four in a row. Their season will more than likely end tonight. And I believe The Warriors will have some ref help.

The networks want to see Golden State and Cleveland in the Finals(this is my prediction as well). The MVP vs the former MVP.
