What I say makes too much sense for you to ignore. It's certainly your choice to add me to your ignore list, but you'll be tempted enough to view my posts.

Safety should be a providers number one concern... discretion is the clients number one concern.

Yes providers should talk among themselves for safety, but if someone calls, PM's, eMails or in any way contacts you,
that you do not personally know, and starts asking questions, with out the client giving some type of heads up.

KC - Sorry that happened to you. I agree that your situation wasn't handled as well as it could have been.

As for the phone issue some have brought up....one comment - I know of instances where LE has take a provider's phone and used it to set someone up. The truth is that unless you KNOW the person on the other end of the phone you don't really know who you are talking to. The reality is that the same goes for email...... Bottom line.....be careful!!!

Are the clients being discreet by posting reviews?
I ask for 2 references with e-mail contact addresses. I Google the names to make sure that these e-mails are correct, then I contact both ladies and ask if they have seen the client and if he is legit and safe. If both of them respond back with affirmatives, I will see him. If someone's answer doesn't match up with the other's, Houston, we have a problem.
My safety is more important than someone having an issue with how I conduct my reference checks. Sorry.

I have learned a lot since then. My client info is now meticulous thanks to the other providers wiling to offer me referrals for clients. We should work together to keep each other safe and no matter our differences, we may really dislike a provider, but we should hold dear to her safety.

I don't personally know 99% of the providers I give a reference to. 95% of the gents that use me as a reference don't give me a heads up. Thats okay though.
Most providers, including me, will have their website, phone #, email address listed on the email or if contacted by pm, links back to their showcase.
If I and the other providers quit providing references because of the above mentioned, the hobby would be a less safe place for us all.

Now I have no idea if Allie and Grace know one another personally or not, but for the sake of this debate lets say that they do not.
And lets say that I am using Grace for a reference to see Allie..
now even though they both don't know each other personally, they do know of one another, so therefore I would have no problem with Allie contacting Grace to verifying me.

Now lets add in a unknown provider, for the sake of this debate, called Amy.
Amy's phone number that she calls/text from does not show anything on google search, and her name only hits on one web page (I very nicely done one) and that is it.

Now I have used both Allie and Grace as references, but being the lazy client I am, I never give either one of them a heads up that I am trying to see Amy.
So when Amy tries to verify me, I would hope that both of them would side on caution and not give out any info on me... NO DON'T KNOW HIM.

Now who's fault would it be if now I can not see Amy? Allie's and Grace's? Amy's?
Or would it be my own fault for being lazy and assuming that all you ladies know one another?

Now to be honest this is all a mute point for me... I love P411, that way I can still be a lazy ass and you ladies can still check out my Okay's .

Edit: There is one other factor.. something that can not be taught or even really explained.
Something that all ladies develop over time and experience.. It is what I call the BS Detector.. and it can over ride any of the above.
When in doubt always follow that gut feeling.. best follow it and be wrong a 1000x then not and be right just once.

I don't personally know Grace, but I have contacted her for references without any problems in the past. If I had seen you, I would Google all the info on the inquiring provider that I could and if she checked out to my satisfaction, I would definitely give her a reference for you. BUT, since I haven't seen you, this is all hypothetical. lol.
