When they say 'I love what I do" what does that mean?

Nothing "Ouch" or "sad" about it unless you have a narrow minded perception of who we are. Let's talk about quality of life... With my job I make my own schedule, I spend time with who I want to, I take the time off for my loved ones when I need to, I can afford to volunteer with the organizations that mean a lot to me during what otherwise would be "business hours", I travel around the country, I can afford to take a month long vacation, I have an IRA, an emergency savings account, dental and health insurance, investment property, and I pay taxes. Is this long term? Of course not. That is why a lady takes advantage of her time doing this and saves for the future and, if she doesn't have an education already, she can work on getting one while doing this or after retiring.

This situation is not unique to myself. I have encountered many others who have their lives together and take the hobby as a blessing in disguise. The quality of life the hobby afford us, as temporarily as it may be, can certainly be better than many 200k jobs. Preparation for the future is the key. Originally Posted by Camille Fox

Camille fox your one classy lady! All great points. The way I see it is if you want to make that 200 k or more a year you would need to love what you do! Cause I've had sessions with girls that don't and it shows! Bad for business. I think if a woman states that about this job I can trust she is not bs'ng me

I tend to think it means thy need to tell themselves something every day to justify what they are doing. I have met hundreds of providers over the years..... Many have stated the opposite and justified it in other realistic terms. I know and have known many retired providers.

Their views in hindsight are much different than what we ever read here.
