2016-17 Longhorn basketball

It seems like texas athletics picks the hot coach at the moment (chuck, herman and shaka) but the new baseball coach is a unknown because all of their top picks declined the offer. Right now the women's sports are the winners and they get zero credit.

This used to be one of the strongest top to bottom programs in the NCAA.

Perennially.

The man who allegedly set fire to a black church in Greenville, Mississippi, and spray-painted it with the words “Vote Trump” is a member of the church.

Police arrested Andrew McClinton on Wednesday in conjunction with the arson of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, which was burned and vandalized on Nov. 1, a week before Donald Trump was elected president.

A bishop from Hopewell told the Associated Press that Mr. McClinton is a member of the predominantly black church.
The suspect is charged with first-degree arson of a place of worship.

Politics and sports don't mix.

I think they could go 0- until the last week in January. Look at their upcoming schedule.

I went to the game tonight. Great win over OK state. Mack-27 points and Davis finally woke up and scored 16. 14 of those in the 2nd half. Allen looked like crap dropping passes and easy misses at the rim but overall great game.
I think they'll be lucky to be .500 at the end of thr year. Shaka reminds me of Strong and not in a good way.
There is a difference in cheer leading and motivation. We have chosen cheer leading. I feel for sure he job security because we are very and next year we challenge for the national Championship. Oh, wait that what we said about football, sorry, I will come with something new for basketball. My bad.
I get tired of watching the games and the announcers keep referring to how young the team is. They are young yes but so is Kentucky, Duke and most top 10 teams. I wasn't aware Shake had a 7 year guaranteed contract either...not like he's on the hot seat...just saying. You can see how empty it is on tv and they are trying to hide it.

Texas got the 19th (Allen) 33rd ( Jones) and 61st (Banks). Now HS rankings don't always mean college greatness but there is a strong correlation. Duke, in addition to its younger players, has 2 starters who are All American upperclassmen. And a soph who is an All American. So Duke is young but loaded with experienced talent. Texas lost all 5 starters from last year. Hopefully they will mature. Hopefully Allen will hang around.
