2023 Steelers Season Thread

They drafted Pickett at 20. Their next pick was at 52. 32 more picks would have had to pass on him. It's simply pure speculation to say that they could have drafted him at 52. They also drafted Pickens at 52 and there's no guarantee that George would have lasted until their next pick at 84. It will prove to be two very good picks. Originally Posted by 1pittsburgh

I got paid for a year to play football. Did you? But there are several people in this thread that agree with me and not you. But they’re not my friends Originally Posted by bambino

People in the thread agree with me too.

Mike McDanial never got paid to play football. Mike Tomlin never got paid to play football. Todd Haley never got paid to play football. I could list a thousand more people who never got paid to play football but know more about it than you. You've committed an "argument from authority fallacy.

There are few so-called franchise QB’s we’ll see what happens, give the guy 3 years to prove himself.
How about the No. 1 pick in this years draft, he’s not looking great so far.
Some will come up with an excuse why but hammer Pickett.

Pickett got 3rd string snaps at camp last year, oh that doesn’t matter, got it.

The Steelers have been winning since KP was inserted as starter. He just hasn’t looked that good except for late game heroics. He needs to stringing full games together. Then I’ll pop some Dom. With my [friends] Originally Posted by bambino

... There's room for error and room for praise in EVERYONES comment
- as we're all just giving our OPINIONS here.
No need to barney about things.

... I happen to agree-with Bambino, tommy and Charly on most
of their views on the Steelers but the season is not even
'alfway over... Can we wait just a bit longer to see how
Pickett progresses before we soak him?? ... Just a thought.

Big game today. Steelers always have a tough time with the Jags. Even when they have a bum at QB. Now they have the real deal with good skill players. Their D is a mixed bag. Good against the run, shaky against the pass. They do have 9 INTs and have dropped 7 others. Will KP and the offense build on their 4rth qtr prowess against the Rams?

We’ll see soon.
Tough to predict what will happen in these shitty conditions. I don't like rain games. They typically lead to sloppy football. Although I did like them when we had the Bus because it clearly favored his skillset.

So far, so ugly. No first downs. Jags dropped an easy pick six and KP underthrows Pickens for a big gainer. 6/0 Jags. D playing tough

Geez. Pickett misses a wide open DJ in the end zone. Can’t blame Canada today. He’s missing open receivers.
