Keep in mind The League case is now almost ten years ago. It was a big deal at the time, but didn’t really change the landscape that much in the end.

My biggest takeaway from the story is don’t try to join together as an organized group to carry on hobby activities. Those guys turned it into a club to enjoy the benefits. Every time someone starts talking about getting a group together to control prices I think about the League. Fortunately, none of the guys who come up with these great ideas has the organizational skills to pull it off, which is probably a good thing for all concerned.
